Shopping: Opiate of the Depressed Husbands

Sadly, Alex’s flight left on time this morning (stupid flight). So, I went back to sleep for a couple of hours (we got up at 4:15 a.m.), then got up and lounged about, whining to Dexter about Alex being gone. About lunchtime, I went shopping for a bunch of stuff I need. Here are the highlights:

• Media: I bought Lila Downs‘ album, Cantina. After seeing Melinda Blomquist’s choreography to some Lila Downs last night, I realized… “Oh yeah. I love Lila Downs.” The album is not a disappointment. I already have Una Sangre, and it’s one of my recent favorites.
• I find pet stores and shoe stores very annoying today.
• I rented Darren Aronofsky’s Pi, after much thought. I’ll let you know (maybe) how it is.
• BIGGEST NEWS: Awesome Grocery Store! It is one of those health stores with a bunch of alternative, vegetarian, and organic stuff. I bought some TVP (not sure why; I have a recipe somewhere), some miscellaneous items, some fresh green beans, and some YVES VEGGIE DOGS!!!one!!

I’m currently gulping down the last of the beans, with Alex’s leftover baked ziti (mmmm. yum). I want more green beans. More veggies.

I would prefer to enjoy them with Alex, please.
