Kate Beaton Tells it Like it Is

Kate Beaton has a bunch of new(ish) MS-paint comics on her LiveJournal. I have taken the huge liberty of reproducing this one, here. I hope she does not mind. She makes me (and many others) laugh until we nearly pee, but she’s got a bit of a confidence/self-esteem issue. You should go to her website and tell her you’d pay money for a book if she published it. Of course, you should look at her comics and discover their hilarity, first¹.

I feel like the guy in the shark’s mouth, right now.  I’m trying to write up research (which is the most difficult part of my job, judging by how often I do it). But wading through the extremely negative and extremely accurate criticisms of my last journal submission… yuck. It’s been 4 months, and it still sucks.
Actually, I’m concluding that this manuscript may not be salvageable. Sigh.

In other news… There is no other news. I live in a place with many delights dependent on nice weather, and the weather is crappy. WHERE MAH GLOBAL WARMIN AT!!!
